Útskriftarlína úr Paris College of Art 2018.
Línan byggir á athugunum á því hvernig útivistarfólk má taka sér íslensk nátttröll til fyrirmyndar til að blandast umhverfinu betur.
Ég tók saman ljósmyndir af tröllslegum myndunum í klettum og hrauni sem ég hafði tekið í sumarstarfi mínu sem landvörður. Bestu og skýrustu myndirnar notaði ég til að beita mismunandi tækni í praktískri og vatnsheldri línu. Þar má nefna leiserskorna efnisbúta applíkeraða beint á flíkurnar, þrívíddarprentaðar hraunmyndanir prentaðar inn í prjónaefni eða bara stafrænt prentað símynstur.
Applíkeruðu bútarnir mynduðu einskonar vasa fyrir sjálflýsandi plötu fyrir þá sem gjarnir eru á að týnast en þennan kost var bæði hægt að fjarlægja úr flíkinni, eða fela með hreyfilegum flipum. Í stað sjálflýsandi platna setti ég leiserskorið endurskinsefni á aðrar flíkur. Allar flíkurnar eru svo að sjálfsögðu með renndum vösum.

Applíkeruðu bútarnir mynduðu einskonar vasa fyrir sjálflýsandi plötu fyrir þá sem gjarnir eru á að týnast en þennan kost var bæði hægt að fjarlægja úr flíkinni, eða fela með hreyfilegum flipum. Í stað sjálflýsandi platna setti ég leiserskorið endurskinsefni á aðrar flíkur. Allar flíkurnar eru svo að sjálfsögðu með renndum vösum.

A study of Icelandic trolls in nature being an inspiration for outdoors clothing for hikers to blend better in to Icelandic landscape.
I gathered photos of trolls where I saw them in rocks and lava formations in my summer job as a ranger. Using the form of my favorite trolls I placed them on the changable waterproof clothing in various forms such as lasercut faces appliqued onto the garments, 3D printed versions resembling both face and rock printed directly onto knit or simply as a digital print.
Two of the garments also had pockets on the back side of the lasercut applique to place or remove an Electro luminescent panel in case one gets lost. This function could also be hid with the placement of sophisticated flaps that could be worn on the back or front side of the garment giving the collection an asian vibe. As another form of prevention form losing oneself in the vast nature I also placed reflective lasercut fabric on some of the garments. To be even more practical most of the garments have many pockets with zipper closures.
